This is the same antenna as the CD51-65-70, but includes a 5m length of low loss coaxial cable.

This antenna is end-fed via a transformer for impedance matching purposes. While this means that it is slightly more expensive than a simple quarter-wave antenna, it also means that the radiation pattern is less affected by use next to a less than perfect ground plane (ie. a vehicle body). The net result is higher omnidirectional horizontal gain in use. Suitable for use in the 380-440 MHz range.
