Although this antenna looks superficially like a standard rod/whip, nothing
could be further from the truth. Using RFI's patented printed circuit technology,
the CD2195 is a multiband collinear antenna, with the high gain printed circuit
protected inside a rod-shaped high impact encapsulation.
This design does not require a ground plane, making it suitable for a variety
of intallation points and locations - whether on a vehicle or elsewhere. The
collinear array ensures that the signal is concentrated in a tight
omnidirectional beam horizontally and not lost into the sky.
The 5m cable included is terminated with an FME female connector, compatible with most
in-car phone cradles (but not suitable for direct connection to handsets).
